Combining the visual interest of traditional floor coverings with the durability of synthetic materials, the Chilewich basketweave floor mat is a modern classic.

Chilewich floor mat edges are self-bound, and have a flexible commercial-grade backing bonded to the back of the rugs to prevent slipping or curling, and provide added cushioning. (No rug pad required!)

Available in a black and gray carbon woven textile, the individual mats can easily be pushed together to make a large area mat.

Sleek and easy to clean, they are perfect for use in living and dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, hallways and entryways.

Product Care

Tabletop: Clean with soap, water and a soft sponge or cloth. Scrub stubborn stains with a soft bristle-brush and a bleach-based cleanser. Rinse with clean water and air dry. Removing stains quickly will prevent permanent damage.

Floormats: Do not iron or machine wash. Avoid placing objects made of rubber on the floormat; discoloration will occur. Blot spills quickly with a lint-free cloth. Mats can be spot cleaned with a quick vacuum followed by a wet mop on the surface. For deep cleans, we recommend a carpet cleaner that can do a combination of scrub and vacuum. Once cleaned, lift the mat off the floor and allow face and backing to air dry completely before placing the mat on the floor again. Occasionally airing out your mat is recommended to extend the life of the piece.

Floormat may be used on radiant heated floors provided the temperature does not exceed 85°F/30°C. When moving or storing, roll up your mat with weave facing outward. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight to prevent fading.
