Jute and natural rugs should be vacuumed regularly using a low setting. For spills, blot with a clean cloth to absorb liquid.
For wool rugs, clean spills as soon as possible using warm water and mild soap mixed with white vinegar. Wet the stain by blotting (don’t rub) with a paper towel; dry with a clean cloth. Once dry, a sprinkle of baking soda may also help – leave on for 30 minutes and vacuum up excess.
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and protect your investment with rug protectors and pads. For hard-to-remove stains, professional cleaning is recommended.
